Contact the County Clerk and Recorders Office. Here's the address and phone number. I have included the County Clerk's name as well. Jean Dimke Jo Daviess County Courthouse 330 N. Bench Street Galena, IL 61036 815.777.0161 According to the JO Daviess County Reference and Yearbook 1999-2000: The Recorder's office maintains the index and records of all property transactions. All real estate documents, corporation papers, city and village ordinances, tax liens, both federal and state and other miscellaneous documents, together with all members' of the service separation and discharge papers are recorded. Each document is assigned an official document number at the time it is presented for record and is entered in the proper entry book and indexes for quick reference to record retrieval. Records date back to 1829. I work for a Civil Engineering / Surveying firm and I use this office quite frequently, and I have always found them very helpful, and eager to help when I have been looking for parcel information. Usually they charge 50 cents a copy for any documents. I would call them and tell them what you are looking for, and ask them if they can help you in some capacity.
