I was trying to find Lynda Bottema who requested info about Rainey/Zurstadt family in Petersburg. I have a gold mine of original photos, documents (Including German duplicates), and legal papers for land and family. The person I spoke with said it was her daughter who was looking for items and did not have anything to start with. If this is you, please contact me at this email. I'd love to share. My Grandmother is 93 and very sharp, but cannot recall much info since this was my G-fathers side. But once she gets a hint her memories are very clear. We have talked about trying to get this info from that side. Grandma is Katherine Hackman and Grandpa is Alwin "Bo", who passed away 11-02. His mother is Mary Zurstadt. Memory eludes me at moment on the generation where Zurstadt/Rainey marriage occurred, but I think John's wife Gessina was Mary's aunt.
