Greetings, fellow Jo Daviess County Researchers, It is my honor and privilige to inform you that the ILGenWeb project has, as of June 2, 2001, selected two new co-county coordinators for Jo Daviess County, Illinois. I, Vince Leibowitz am one Co-CC and Karlene "Karlie" Nesbitt White is the other. Before I get into any details, I do want to take a moment, on behalf of Karlie and myself, to thank Cheryl Hemmingway for her long tenure of service to ILGenWeb. The Jo Daviess County site is a wonderful source of information thanks in part to her tireless work. As many of you know, Cheryl informed the list in May that she would be unable to continue in her role as County Coordinator and list manager for Jo Daviess County, Illinois. We are forever indebetted to Cheryl for her contribution to the project, and wish her Godspeed and many blessings as she looks to the future. In our roles as co-CC's, Karlie and I will be assuming different duties and roles. I will be primarily responsible for keeping the site up and running, and for monitoring the list and GenConnect boards for Jo Daviess County. Karlie will be responsible for accepting donations of transcribed material, etc., for the website, and for answering your questions concerning Jo Daviess County, such as "where do I go for..." "where is...." and other related questions. She will also be responsible for soliciting lookup volunteers and other contributors for the site. I have already changed the front page to reflect new coordinators, but it, along with most of the pages on the site, will undergo revision immediately.
