Linda - this is indeed a mystery to many of us. I've even asked Scott Wolfe at the Galena Public Library Jo Daviess Co. history room, and he doesn't even know. A CLUE though is that my POSEY ancestors were ennumerated in East Fork Precinct, and IF they were living where we believe they were, they were north of Galena in what became Council Hill Township or Vinegar Hill Township on Posey Hollow Rd.
