I have a Jo Daviess County Farm Directory issued August, 1930. It is organized by Township. For each farmer it gives the post office address distance and direction from the post office telephone number where the owner or a renter varieties of live stock and poultry bred I can not look up one name as I would have to look it up in 23 different townships. I just learned that the old Lutheran College of Galena, from which my great grandfather Philip William Maxeiner graduated in 1872, was Wartburg College.
