Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Jg.2ADI/1350 Message Board Post: Jerry Belk and I are trying to figure something out. All of my notes say that Geroge Washington Belk, father of Henry was the son of Andrew JACKSON Belk. Jerry has a reference to a Andrew WILSON Belk being in there. Might you have an opinion on who was who?? One thing I noticed is the names of presidents coming into use. My grandfather (son of George) was Chester Arthor Belk. That kinda tips me towards JACKSON. Also, plus according to my notes Andrew was born in 1812 , Andy Jackson and the war of 1812 and all that.....

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Jg.2ADI/1348.1.1.1.1.1 Message Board Post: Nothing more on Andrew yet. Have some papers I ended up with after an aunt passed away. "Might" be something in there. Did find info on Clarissa Belk-Hackett. Wife of Andrew. Father: Uri Hessikiah Jerrfiah Hackett (quite a mouthful) Mother: Olive Hall Found an old photo. Of course no one ever took the time to write on the back who it is! Very faint on back in pencil it says Uncle Wess Mo??? Family. about 6 letters for last name. Got any idea? Clarissa had brother killed in Civil War. (Andrew) and another brother killed in Duck Hunting accident and is buried in Pleasant Valley, (Guy) Other siblings were: Perry, Dwight, Irwin, Morgan (a violinist), Alice, Laura, Olive, Frederick, Mack. Morgan helped Andrew Belk build his house. What sounds a tiny bit wierd is these names dont sound like ones from births around 1830's?? Do they? I am just going by what my aunt had written down. (Mabel Belk-Calvert) I have photo of entire family of George Belk. Send email address and I will send copy. Also... it appears the Uri had a 2nd marriage? To Phoebe Housden Feb 18, 1877. Dont know where? Children from them were Florence, Viola, Sarah Catherine. So, where do you come into the picture? DB0801@charter.net Dennis Belk

A site comes up that lists 200 names of burials. Click on Edit, then click Find (on this page) enter first new letters of the name (this allows for mis-spells) and just keep clicking Next and you go thru it pretty quick and dont risk missing the name!!!
