All of my notes say that Geroge Washington Belk, father of Henry was the son of Andrew JACKSON Belk. Jerry has a reference to a Andrew WILSON Belk being in there. Might you have an opinion on who was who?? One thing I noticed is the names of presidents coming into use. My grandfather (son of George) was Chester Arthor Belk. That kinda tips me towards JACKSON. Also, plus according to my notes Andrew was born in 1812 , Andy Jackson and the war of 1812 and all that.....

I believe this is for Chas. White. As I recall he was quite important in the late 1800's there. Buried in Greenwood Cemetery and his wife Dorette Sieman born in Hanover,Germany Sept.12,1830 died Sept.18,1923 also buried in Greenwood Cemetery. A site comes up that lists 200 names of burials. Click on Edit, then click Find (on this page) enter first new letters of the name (this allows for mis-spells) and just keep clicking Next and you go thru it pretty quick and dont risk missing the name!!!

So would assume that is the precinct. Wapello was an indian chief, probably Sauk or Fox since they were the tribes of the region.
