William Higman and Harriet Bray had a son, listed in the 1925 census of the town of Winthrop, Buchanan County, Iowa as Harry HIGMAN. It lists his age as 71 and says he was born in England. He is living with his wife Ida (Griswold) Higman age 62. I will look for an obituary next time I am at the local Genealogical Society and see if any brother is listed. They are buried at Fairview Cemetery, Winthrop, IA and our cemetery book lists their dates as Harry b 1853 d Apr 4 1932 and Ida as b 1862 d Feb 11 1936. On that same census page, living with another family, is a Jno, age 20, also b. England. 1880 census finds William and Harriet livng in Middlefield, Buchanan, Iowa. His occupation is farmer. The "Jno" who was living in another household in 1870 is also found in here in Delaware, Delaware, Iowa, and is married with two children. In 1900 Harriet is in Palo Alto Co, Walnut Twp, Iowa, living with her daughter, Anne and family - head of household looks llike "Ivy Goble" Harriet is no longer listed in the 1910 census. BJ
