    3. Martin Horan and Catharine Dunleavey were married in Jo Daviess Co. 6 Mar 1848. The family may have moved to Iowa abt 1887. They had at least one daughter, Julia/Julie Ann who married Arthur McComish in Dubuque Co. IA. I would appreciate hearing from anyone who can tell me more about these individuals. Thanks!

    3. Cheryl, Your email took me by surprise--I guess it's been about three years now that we have been electronically linked. I want to thank you for your generous gift of time and enthusiasm in helping all of us. My words seem inadequate right now and I'm struggling with these keys to type the right words--but my heart has already sent a prayer for courage and peace for you to carry on. I do believe that someday our spirits will meet. 3. Yes, there is some flooding. East Dubuque has some flats area near the Mississippi under water. They have the National Guard helping with sand bags. The flood gates in Galena were closed to protect the Main Street. The ducks that are always on the Galena River can now swim on the part of the Main Street before the flood gates. The stores and houses in Galena are okay. Route 84 going to Savanna has a detour, I think the flooding is in the Savanna area. My sister and her husband who live on the River in Thomson had to move inland, but there house was up on cement blocks, so everything is safe except their storage area which they moved. We in Elizabeth are high and dry unless the Apple River decides to back up. Thank you for asking. 3. Am I the only one who can not read the list for the Marriage Book F - 1885 - 1895? The page acts like it is loading, it reads the whole thing, but I get nothing but a blank screen. Am keeping my fingers crossed that some of my family will show up on this page and not off in Wisconsin where they are not as free with marriage information as Illinois is. My granddaughter and I are heading for the Galena area this coming Saturday, hope the river minds its manners and lets us wonder around as we planned. Have searching to do from Galena to Clinton - would like to snoop around in Davenport, but that doesn't sound to promising. Look forward to hearing about the marriage information. Thanks Dorothy
