Unfortunately there is a confusing obituary on the Jersey County website: FORD. Lizzie M. Ford,11, daughter of George A. & Margaret Ford, was born in Jerseyville on August 31, 1867. She died August 31, 1897, . . . Obviously, Lizzie could not have been eleven and born in 1867. Also the same birth/death day and month exactly the same seem suspicious. Can anyone offer more information? I suspect this Lizzie may be the child of George A. Ford and Margaret O'Leary who married in Mason County, Illinois, but later moved to Jerseyville. A George A. and Margaret Ford were in Mason County with a daughter Lizzie (age 2, b. circa 1868), in 1870. Then possibly this same couple were found in Jerseyville in 1880.
