Marty, I am so sorry that you must stop the wonderful work you have been doing for all of us for years, but your health is much more important. You have already contributed more to genealogy in these counties than most people could ever hope to do, and everyone appreciates all your work. The material you have contributed to the internet has been a tremendous help to me in my research for my HUGHES line in Jersey and Greene Counties in Illinois. I believe that some day we might find a link between my HUGHES and yours; if we find one, may I email you? One of my cousins will be in Greene, Jersey, and Macoupin Counties during the Christmas holidays to do some hands on research. Do you have any suggestions as to where she should check--other than the courthouses? We found some information in the material you put online that deals with our family, and she wants to research those documents. Once again I would like to thank you for the many ways in which you have helped those of us who are researching family lines in this part of Illinois. I , for one, live many miles from Jersey County--in Tucson, AZ and can't seem to make it to Illinois to do my research. We appreciate you very much and wish you all the best in the future.
