Come across some long hard decisions this past few weeks and Ronda and I have made a decision. The preservation of all the written materials that we have been trying to do these past 4 years will stop. Effective immediately. Also the Tri County Newsletters will end at this time too. Every thing I have that is and being preserved will soon be on one of the three ILROOTS web sites. I am in the process now of sending it all to the webmasters of each site. Those with materials and indexes being transcribed, please continue on with them and send them to me, I'll put them in the Excel format with the others and then they too will soon be posted on the web. This is very hard for me and it has really broken my heart. There is so much work left to do. I just can not do it any more the way I want to. I'll still be around, just not as much and won't be asking for you volunteers any longer to help me preserve or written histories. I hope someone will pick it up. Again, there is just so much information out there, we need a champion to score for us. Especially now since I have become one of the stay at home researchers and unable to drive or climb stairs and sit long periods of time. Good luck every one and please remember what I tried to do, what Ben King tried to do and so many of you volunteers did. We put one heck of dent into it but I've said enough. Bye for now Marty Crull
Good Luck Marty and may God Bless You and Your family. Dear Marty, Good luck Marty to you and your family, in any choices you may make. I appreciate ALL your hard work and devotion to this project. It takes a very special kind of person(as you are), to give so much time and effort as a site like lhis requires. You have made this site a GREAT one! I'll miss you very much, one of your quiet members, Patricia Hooper (aka Patsy Ontis)
God Bless you and Ronda Marty for everything you have done.I have been working on just my families for over 40 years and I know it's hard work. You have been working for whole counties of people and that simply boggles my mind.YOU will never be forgotten as long as these counties stand.I wish you the very best and will keep you both in my prayers.Thank for being there for so many with the information we needed and all of the other things you've done for this area. You'll never quit you know, your mind will be going a mile a minute all the time. You may be giving up the physical side,I had to do that too after a severe stroke, but you'll still be there with that brilliant mind when somebody calls for advice.Good Luck and God Bless. Dear Marty, I have enjoyed and used all the efforts you put into the website. I am a Calhoun Kraut and live in Colorado now so the link was great for me. I wish you the best and hope God smiles on you and yours. You will be greatly missed Marty, but your work will go on, and what you have done will be of great benefit to many for years to come. Thank you.
