Blissit, Sr. was the son of Millard Filmore and Nancy Geneva Milford Blissit. My father told me they travelled from Mississippi to Hill County, Texas where he was born in 1905. Samuel Blissit was born in Hillsboro, Hill County, Texas in 1895. Sanuel Blissit was born in 1891 in Karnes County, Texas. My grandparents, Millard and Nancy were married around 1900 in Mississippi. I believe that Samuel and Sanuel may be nephews of Millard. If so, Millard was following his brother(s) to Texas. My grandparents settled on a farm in Calallen, Texas after 1905. If anyone knows the parentage of my grandparents please E-Mail me. I think my grandfather was from Tishomingo, MS. My grandmother was from Alabama.
