    3. Hi---I'm a real amateur, but I do know you can go to Google or other places and ask for cemetery records for certain localities eg IL. I've never done it myself for IL but have for other states. And also, during the depression years, one the WPA projects was to hire people to visit cemeteries (actually, I think it was mainly to find the graves of veterans??) but in the process they identified all burials in particular cemeteries, the description, condition,condition of stones and fences etc. All cemeteries were not included, possibly because of the WPA project being discontinued. I know these searches are on microfilm at the LDS library--maybe also on the internet. Also, I know it was not uncommon to find orphaned children in different homes--quite often in homes of relatives -----Original Message----- From: Michael S.
