She was born to John Harter and Jospehine (Schaz) Hatrer betw. 1851-1861.My Josephine had two sisters and two brothers. I found them in the Jersey County Census. I do not know when she died. I do know her parents are buried in the catholic cemetery in Jerseyville, Il. I have been told that she never married. John ( her father came from France, his name was actually Johann on his immigration papers. He is my great great great grandfather. My family of Harters live in Missouri, for the most part. I do not know of John's family, if he had siblings that immigrated with him or not. I am not familiar with Illinois, so I do not know if your localities are close to Jersey County.
