Patt Roach of Abilene, Texas is taking orders on WE BOAST OF THE NAME OF BLACKABY, BLACKORBY, BLACKERBY, Volume II, a 777 page book on the history of the name, our first ancestor who came over, his father, and then William I Blackerby, his ancestors and descendants. This is the line in which the name changes to Blackaby and Blackorby. There were Blackaby who lived in the Jersey County, Illinois area. Her research has covered a 30-year period and includes a trip to England to the Records Center in London. Volume I was published by Catclaw Printing company in 1986. Most of what you see on the internet has come from Volume I. It was a 648 page book, but all copies have been sold. The price of Volume II is $90.00 which includes postage.
