Wanda Here are a few suggestions - 1) If you believe that the Irma Yates in Alhambra is the biological daughter of your adopted daughter, then why not check with some of the older residents in that area to see if she always lived there or moved in from another town. 2) If she was single and had a rural Edwardsville address, you might be able to find her photo in one of the Edwardsville Tiger yearbooks. By finding the year, you could probably locate one of the boys in the class to see who has been coordinating the class reunions and get an address from the committee. 3) Also consider the fact was she married or single at the time of the birth. If she was single then chances are Yates is not her current surname. So this will take you back a few steps in your search or refer to suggestion #2. 4) You could always do what they do in the movies - go to her house, get her to answer the door so that you can see her but ask for the name of another person who's house you're trying to find. Make up a story that it's been some years since you've been in the Alhambra area. If your adopted daughter resembles her, then it's probably her. If not, she still could be her biological mother but resembles her biological father or another member of either side of the family.
