I recall that Marty and others were going through the Alton newspapers and putting information about people into some form for research. Is Madison anywhere near Alton? If so, perhaps these researchers know if there has been any information on a Irma Yates in the newspaper. If not, is there a way to search through recent (last 5 years or so) of newspaper(s) for Madison to see if anything turns up on this lady? For those who are looking for a lost parent and when finding them discover they are ogres or worse, just remember some of us knew our parents all our lives and some of these parents were ogres or worse. The luck of the genealogical draw. Scratch beneath the surface and some of these ogres have wonderful redeeming qualities. We all do the best we can with what we have to work with.
