Their tombstones read: William Marshaw, June 26, 1827 - June 17, 1902. Avaline, his wife, August 26, 1826 - August 28, 1902. There was also small tombstones that read: Son John, June 4, 1861 - May 13, 1894. Loyd, son of J & M Marshaw, September 2, 1887 - October 30, 1887. Also, regarding the McDows, there is a large assortment of donated items regarding the McDows at the Elsah museum. Well worth seeing. On display was the WWI uniforms of Dewey McDow and the Civil War Discharge Papers of William McDow. I took pictures of the gravesite of the Marshaws. If you would like the pictures, please email me your address.
