She was born in Jersey County Illinois and was a teacher by profession. She may have been a niece of Judge J. Montgomery Hurd. She was married in Kings County, Lemoore, California in December 1878 or January 1879. That may mean she was born around 1850 - 1860. Any information you can provide would be most helpful.
