I have been looking for my Foster ancesters. They were living in Jersey County when Permelia Foster married David Cyrus Fulton, in 1854. In 1865, Emma and Frances Foster stayed with their aunt and uncle, Hutchinson, in St. Charles Co., MO while the rest of the family disappeared for two years. I am guessing that they may have had smallpox, becausse Permelia died about that time leaving her children with their father's (?) family in Marion Co., IL. Since there are also Fosters in Marion Co, and they are also connected to the same families as their father, it is possible that it was her family they were living with. Anyway, my question is - did any of yur Hutchinson family live in St. Charles MO? Hi, Some of my ancestors were from Marietta, Washington co, Oh. gggrandfather James Steed and wife Elizabeth (Francis) Steed, were there in 1850, came into Calhoun county, IL, about 1852, then Greene co. Il. daughter Sabra Eunice Steed married Thomas R. Price in 1866.her sister Julia, daughter married in Jersey co, IL 1878,Francis Ward. One son Dow F. Steed, lived in St. Charles co. IL James , wife Elizabeth Steed, married daughter Julia Steed Ward and husband Francis left Il, for Indian Territory, now called Carter co, OK. Settled there before 1890 census. How many other family came from Oh, and where did they settled later?. Might help up find missing links, somehow. Jean
