Any Seago buried in Lax or Oak Grove. From the jersey county site, there are quite a few... 49 to be exact. Are you sure you don't mind. Ron Noble was photographing all cemeteries in Jersey Co. and putting them on line at his site. He gives access if you request. I now have pictures of most of Schaaf and Powers ancestors tombstones.. Can't find James Powers wife though. I am still looking for someone who knows the old Fraley farm outside of Fieldon. That is where Carl (Charles) and Augusta Busch Schaaf are buried. They were buried between two cedar trees and in the 1960's the trees were still there. Have know idea about the present.

There was a Garry Patton who was a sophomore at Jersey Community High School in 1956. There was only one high school in the whole county.
I didn't know anyone by that name, but my neighbor spent her whole life there,so I'll ask her for you.She seems to know everybody. Her maiden name was Noble. Carol, Since you used to live at Newbern, did you ever know of a family by the name of PATTON? My great grandmother Charlotte PATTON KOBEL was born there. I've been having a heck of time tracking her after the 1900 Jersey County Federal Census when she is shown living with her father Adison PATTON at 168 in Mississippi Township. She is listed as Lottie along with Laura and Lucy (which I believe are her sisters). Her mother Ida KEMPER PATTON is not listed. Ida and Addison were married 10 Jun 1888. Anything ring a bell? This is what the USGS's GNIS site has on Newbern: Newbern IL Jersey populated place 390025N 0902013W Jerseyville South Newbern Cemetery IL Jersey cemetery 390027N 0902008W Jerseyville South Newbern Cumberland Presbyterian Church IL Jersey church 390027N 0902011W Jerseyville South The topozone.com map at that site shows Newbern less than a mi.
