Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Ig.2ADI/1174.1.1.1 Message Board Post: Ah, that's the tough question! The objective is probably to trace them back to NC, right? Usually we start with where we are and work backwards. Try to find the family in the 1850 census (I don't have an index for that one.) It may give more clues (a parent living with him, for example.) Since names for other family members aren't given in the 1840 and earlier censuses, it gets harder then. You might search the archives of the ILJERSEY-L rootsweb list to find other queries, land records, deeds, wills, deaths, obits, etc. for the county, and you can search county histories. A nearby LDS Family History center could probably be of some help. You might even join and post a request for an obit lookup to the Obit-Lookups-L@rootsweb.com list. There were two other Fullers from NC listed in 1860 in Jersey Co. They were FULLER NANCY MRS 58 F W NC IL JERSEY DELHI PCT FULLER RICHARD 80 M W NC IL JERSEY GRAFTON PCT You might want to keep them in mind. Richard, for example, is old enough to be Wm.'s father...
