    1. Cemetery Project
    2. triconews
    3. Some of you are asking the question about the cemetery project. The cemetery project was started months and months ago as to add obituaries and pictures to the cemetery data bases that were being edited and updated to be placed on the three ILRoots websites. The Tri County Newsletter and it's volunteers took on the job as to updating and editing and asked that all pictures, obits and changes came to their site to be compiled, transcribed and worked on in general. The databases are completed, as much as one can update a cemetery, and are being posted to the websites, except for the Greene County site. Can not get a response from the webmaster, so they are being sent to ILMAGA site for Greene County. This is and will take time during the holidays so please be patient. Jersey County is posting every day. Calhoun will get their changes up shortly after Thanksgiving as will ILMAGA-Greene. Some are concerned that this information is being sold for profit by the Tri County Newsletter. This is so common when it comes to asking for donations to cover expenses. NO ONE Makes a dime! Just because it is on the internet and you pay your internet provider doesn't mean that there isn't costs involved. This is one reason the Tri County Folks are calling it quits, the other is Marty Crull's health problems have gotten worse and there seems to be no cause to think he will get better. He is only 55 and been at this for nearly 20 years. He is sending every thing he has accumulated over those years to the three sites. How do I know this? I am his daughter. Your help is needed and please pass the word this holiday about dad and all the work he has done and has tried to do. Thank you all and have a great holiday. And as dad always says, be safe and don't do something stupid and we read about it in the obituaries, this holiday season. Kathy Mae

    3. Thank you so much. We are trying to make all the old projects more personable by adding the obits as well as pictures of those deceased. We want the new projects to be more than just data. I guess we are trying to give it life. Looking forward to adding your family and again, thanks for helping. Guess I somehow missed that. I do have some old obituaries and maybe a picture. The last cemetery book I had purchased, had some info on a cemetery that I consider to be incorrect. It has to do with the Mt. Hope Cemetery and I believe a Nimerick - Retzer. If you are interested in what I have will be glad to pull it together and send to you. 3. For those who are having problems, like I did, finding the article that Marty is refering to, here's a tip - When you reach the home page of the Telegraph online, type in the name WEDDING in the search box (upper left corner area) and hit the "go" button. You should get articles which contain the word or name WEDDING. The article is about the 8 Wedding brothers and their military service of which only one is living. 2. Debbi Geer
    3. If anyone does find an error on the Jersey Co IL website they should send the correct information to the website coordinator. This is true for any website. A lot of people rely on the county websites for information about their family members especially if they live a distance from the county which prohibits frequent travel or are unable to travel due to their health and/or age. 2. triconews
    3. I have received many emails thanking me for all my work, but I have to set the record straight. I couldn't have done all I was able to do without the help of, what I called, my army of volunteers. These folks are the ones who deserve the credit and when the rest of all their work is posted to the different websites, you will see their names. Again, I could not have done all that was done without them. I just helped them if the truth be known. They are great and I have, I feel made some good friends over these past few years. Yeah! I've ruffled a few feathers too, but I still believe, just because it is on the internet, doesn't mean it's supposed to be free. It costs someone some where. Whether it is copying cost or postage to mail the copies. But I won't go on. Those of you who know me know what I mean. Some are asking if it is my health causing me to stop my research. Yes, it is the main reason. I'm not dieing tomorrow or any time soon. I just need to stop. I'll still be around but now it is now I'll be around my house. Thanks to all of you for the very kind words and I really mean it, but please my army of volunteers really are the reasons my work was so successful. Take care. Marty
