I know it was in Richwood district and is no longer used. After comparing several maps it is either north on Reddish Road or dunham Road. On current map I can't tell which one would go through that area. According to old maps Reddish lived in southern corner of section 9 which is the section I believe the cemetery is located at. Any one have any ideas.

    1. Updated Calhoun County Cemetery Listing
    2. triconews
    3. I am in the final stages of editing the updated Calhoun Cemetery index for the website. It contains, 9,990 burials. Most are, for a better word, "lacking" when it comes to details. I have been begging for years for help in gathering obits and documents to help back up the data and to tell the truth, most who replied only wanted free stuff about their family and didn't want to share the data they had or have. Or once I sent them what I had, I never heard from the so and so's again. So I will not be sending out any listings of surnames that I have gathered. If you want, send me what you have and if I have anything to add, I'll send it to only you. If you don't want to help, then you'll just have to wait till Lorraine is ready to post it to the website. My health is causing me to quit. I wanted a picture and an obituary to accompany every entry. Maybe someone else will pick up the ball.

    3. I could be wrong and my memory isn't what it used to be but if it is, I don't recall ever seeing a stone for John Miller in the cemetery. The data I got says newspaper about John W. Miller passed, father in law of Charles Smith was buried in Meadow Branch Cemetery. I looked through my pictures, stills and movie film, and find no marker. But I read it back in 1992. The whole back and left side of the cemetery stones have been destroyed bush hogs and kids shooting the stones and just some removed. Especially all the old wrought iron cemetery plot fences. I'd suggest you try the military indexes and see if there was a payment made for burial. He was about 80 years old when he died so there where a few wars or battles fought in those 80 years. Also try the Almshouse records. Surnames: HENKEL, ROE, PRITCHETT, CLIFFORD, Hays Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Ig.2ADI/1182 Message Board Post: John Henkel come to Jersey county about 1852: He married Hannah Pritchett Lee (widow) in 1863. In 1880 Census he is listed with wife Hannah, son Jacob (7) daugher Mary (1) and brother Henry (27) Hannah died in December 1881 and is buried in the Hawkins-Pruitt Cemetery, Cemetery Records Onlin show a note that her husband is buried in Greene County Belltown Cemetery. As he was alive in 1894 in KS and his second wife (Lydia Clifford Hays HENKEL) is listed in Greene County 1900 Census as a widow with two step Daughters Della and Delia HENKEL I assume he died between 1894 and 1900 but can find no proof of his death with dates. Della and Delia Henkel,(twins) were born in sept 1881, possibly in Macopin County IL but have not been able to find any Offical records. Any information on this family would be appreciated.
