    3. JFYI, the Jersey County website has recently been "spidered" and there are 978 separate pages. That's a lot of Jersey County information!!! Although I "do" the Jersey County website, I had never counted the number of pages. Please remember contributions, corrections are very welcome. http://www.rootsweb.com/~iljersey/ And a huge thanks to all the people who have contributed information to the website. 3. Unfortunately there is a confusing obituary on the Jersey County website: FORD. Lizzie M. Ford,11, daughter of George A. & Margaret Ford, was born in Jerseyville on August 31, 1867. She died August 31, 1897, . . . Obviously, Lizzie could not have been eleven and born in 1867. Also the same birth/death day and month exactly the same seem suspicious. Can anyone offer more information? I suspect this Lizzie may be the child of George A. Ford and Margaret O'Leary who married in Mason County, Illinois, but later moved to Jerseyville. A George A. and Margaret Ford were in Mason County with a daughter Lizzie (age 2, b. circa 1868), in 1870. Then possibly this same couple were found in Jerseyville in 1880. Any information appreciated. Judy Griffin

    2. Dolores
    3. If there is ANY "old timers" out there in Jersey Co. Land who would know of or ownership of WEASEL'S DEN I would like to have some info. My Dad William LeRoy Andrews "Pat" it seems was employed there when he was a kid...and I mean KID (1936+-). I need to make sure the stories I have been told, match before I do further research. My Dad's father was Charlie Andrews (only no one knew him as an Andrews, because he was raised by Charles and Mary Grace (Franklin) FRANZ. My Dad's mother was Nettie Edwards. This marriage dissolved after several years and Dad and his brother were left to take care of themselves. The man who owned a tavern (name unknown to me) was very influential to my Father. I have found a picture of an advertisement for WEASEL'S DEN with my Dad (as an older man) in front of it...on the back it states this were Dad was first employed (waited bar and played cards)....I would like to confirm this establishment and find out the person who owned it at or during 1936-8 Thanks, Dolores ----- Original Message ----- From: <Mimi1706@aol.com> To: <ILJERSEY-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, March 05, 2005 4:54 AM Subject: [ILJERSEY] Re: Jesse James in Grafton - photo and story > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Surnames: Tuckers > Classification: Query > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/Ig.2ADI/832.2.1.1.1.1 > > Message Board Post: > > If anyone still has any info pertaining to this, I would really appreciate it if you would send it to me at Mimi1706@aol.com. 3. Arthur had a son Robert (Bobby)from a previous marriage. Bobby was a sophamore in the 1958 yearbook at Jersey Community High School, but doesn't appear in the 59 ' or 60'. Aunt Lucille was previously married to Christy Beatty who died from being burned severly when a corn picker caught fire and the gas tank blew up, engulfing him in flames. Bob Beatty ran the farm after his dad and Aunt Lucille got married and he moved to Jerseyville. Lucille was my mother's half aunt. She was Lucille Albertha Wiegand, born 7Feb1900 in Jerseyville, Jersey, Ill. She had 2 full sisters and 2 full brothers and 1 half sister. Arthur was a very large man. He had driven a dump truck on construction in the Alton area. I don't know for sure, but he was probably a union member, probably out of the Alton Teamster's Local. Aunt Lucille was previously married to Walter Pegrem and lived in Woody untill about 1956 or so when they moved into Carrollton, where Uncle Walter died of cancer. She was previously married to Ed Smith and Ed Hodge , both of whom died and left her a widow. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Toney & Shirley Scott" <t31scott@jvil.com> To: <ILJERSEY-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, February 27, 2005 8:11 PM Subject: Re: [ILJERSEY] Wiegand, Albertha or Lucille > Judy--I think she was married to an Arthur Dabbs. 3. I saw your message about the Parsell family. It caught my attention as I remembered one of my grade school teachers in the 1950's was named Mrs. Parsell, Catherine I think. I remember that her husband was a farmer and lived about 4 or 5 miles east of Jerseyville on Route 16. I was just curious if she was part of your family. -----Original Message----- From: Usaracine@aol.com [mailto:Usaracine@aol.com] Sent: Thursday, February 24, 2005 9:18 AM To: ILJERSEY-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [ILJERSEY] Re: ILJERSEY-D Digest V05 #25 SUBJECT:PARSELL FAMILY SURNAMES:PARSELL,HODGE, DAVIS, HERBERT,JOHNSON,MUNDY,WELLER QUERY MESSAGE BOARD URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/lg.2ADI/1192 MESSAGE BOARD POST NEED HELP FINDING DEATH DATE AND ANY INFO ON GR GRANDFATHER JEREMIAH J.
