Does anyone have any old photos of downtown Fidelity? I am looking for a photo of the Union hotel which later became the private home of the Rodell family. The Rodells were longtimes postmasters in Fidelity. The building was built in 1861 and lasted until the 1920's. Thanks. Rae Bryant

I am looking for Caroline Schaaf, a daughter of Wolfgang Schaaf from Onsbach, Baden, who came to the states with her father and brother, Frank, in 1850 to the Ste. Genevieve, MO area. She doesn't seem to be findable on any of that area in Missouri on the 1860 census, so I wonder if she somehow found herself in Jersey county, perhaps with a Schaaf relative, by 1860. (Wolfgang died as soon as he arrived, and Frank and Caroline were, according to Frank's obit, taken care of by townspeople for a time) I find one reference to August Kiess, apparently as a minister in Franklin Co., MO a little later on. Maybe he was a minister in Jersey Co. in 1863? Please let me know if you have any information on a Caroline Schaaf in Jersey Co. 1850-1863.

Yes, the Little Flock Cemetery has been read and a copy has been printed in Tombstone Revelations in Macoupin County Illinois Book V. There is a W.D. Lawrence listed in this book at Little Flock: Lawrence W.D. (Cpl. Army Co. D 2nd Ill. Vol. Cav.) from veterans records no dates Only about 18 stones are there that were read, most are in the Reno/Mitchell/Haycraft family which is my line. Hope this helps.
