Dick I got looking at my records plus the George Worthey family story submission in the early 1990's Jersey County History Book. Somewhere I thought I saw where George A Worthey who was the father of Armel (b 1857) and James Frank (b 1866) was connected to Absalom. Also there is a Rootsweb Worthey surname message board which several of the descendants of Armel are participating in. You may want to check into it. Don't know how much any one person has on the Worthey family. Several mention the Worthey/Sinclair marriages. It seems that one was raised not knowing anything about her father's family - the Worthey's. And in the last 18 months has found out she has plenty of first cousins from her father's other marriage. I can type LAHEY and POWERS Jane Lahey
Debbi et al, My Armel/Armiel WORTHEY(Y) was married to Dica/Dicey (Unknown). They were married by 1818 as that's when their son Absalom was born. In 1818 they were living in Franklin Co., GA. I show the family in Monroe Co., TN in 1830 and believe they moved to southern IL around 1837. In the 1850 Census, Armiel is in Calhoun Co., IL and his son Absalom in neighboring Jersey Co., IL. Anderson WORTHY (same age range as Armel) was in Franklin Co. GA and Monroe Co., TN the same time as Armel - possibly borthers? Also George WORTHY (age range to be father of above) was in Franklin Co. GA and Monroe Co., TN at the same time. Dick
Judy and Debbi, I've got Armiel/Armel and Absalom WORTHEY/WORTHY. Let me know also. Dick

Dick Is your Armel Worthey the husband of Isadora Sinclair? If so, all I have is a little bit about Armel and Isadora and the names of their children. I would like to add more of their descendants. Also Armel's brother James Frank married Isadora's sister Jeanette. I have plenty on this family if you need it. Isadora and Jeanette were the daughters of William L and Mary Jane Henson Sinclair. William was the son of Isaac and Melinda Pruitt Sinclair. Debbi __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! I have been looking for my Foster ancesters. They were living in Jersey County when Permelia Foster married David Cyrus Fulton, in 1854. In 1865, Emma and Frances Foster stayed with their aunt and uncle, Hutchinson, in St. Charles Co., MO while the rest of the family disappeared for two years. I am guessing that they may have had smallpox, becausse Permelia died about that time leaving her children with their father's (?) family in Marion Co., IL. Since there are also Fosters in Marion Co, and they are also connected to the same families as their father, it is possible that it was her family they were living with. Anyway, my question is - did any of yur Hutchinson family live in St. Charles MO?
