Richard and Carole Keegan of Mt. Vernon are celebrating their 50th anniversary on Aug. 17.The couple were married on Aug. 17, 1963, in Lansing, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church. The Keegan’s are avid Cubs and Bears fans. Carole is a retired manager from B. Dalton Bookstore. Dick Keegan is a retired firm administrator for Krehbiel & Associates and was recently recognized as a 2012 Senior Saint for his service to the community. They are both active members in St. Mary Catholic Church.The couple have been blessed with their children, David and Patricia Keegan of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Jorge and Kelli Keegan-Diaz; and their grandchildren, Alicia and Jorge A.
