Irene (Reeves) Green of Mt. Vernon will be celebrating her 95th birthday on Monday, Aug. 26. Her husband, Merritt Green, died in 1975.She is a member of Park Avenue Baptist Church. She was active in the food pantry for more than 25 years.Her family includes daughter Mary Ann Farthing and husband Ken; and the late Donald Lee Green and wife Pat. Grandchildren are Jeff McDaniel and wife Brenda, Tracie Downey and husband Bob, and Brian Green and Krystal Lovett.
