The Pantagraph, Bloomington, IL, May 2, 2005 NORMAL -- Joseph M. Crosno, 91, of 901 N. Main St., Normal, formerly of Westminster Village, Bloomington, died at 12:30 a.m. Saturday (April 30, 2005) at McLean County Nursing Home, Normal. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Kibler-Smith Memorial Home, Dr. Joseph A. Culpepper officiating. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the memorial home. Interment will be in Park Hill Cemetery, Bloomington. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Centennial Christian Church, Bloomington, or First Christian Church, Clinton. Joseph was born Sept. 22, 1913, in Jefferson County, a son of the late Joseph Edward and Ersla Ann Hodge Crosno. He married Gednah Ferguson on Dec. 8, 1933, at St. Louis. She survives. Joseph is also survived by a daughter, Joanne Etherton, Bloomington; one son, Phil Crosno of Salinas, Calif.; three grandchildren, Rhonda (Ken) Williams of Littleton, Colo.; Donna (Jim) Martin of Clinton; Don Etherton of Bloomington; 10 great-grandchildren, Miel Sturdivant; Joli (Steve) Danison; Kier, Ciel, and Gabe Masters; Joe and Jacki Etherton; and Brian, Sean and Kevin Williams; and five great-great-grandchildren, Madison and Jonas Sturdivant; Noah and Emma Danison; and Aidan Masters Hall; two sisters, Cleo Tucker of Salem, Mo.; and Rosemary Whittemore of Redlands, Calif.; a sister-in-law, Dixie Crosno of San Luis Obispo, Calif.; and a brother, Harold Crosno of Maroa. He was preceded in death by one sister, Nova Grais; one brother, Dial Crosno; one son-in-law, Donald D. Etherton; and one daughter-in-law, Betty Crosno. He preceded her in death after 71 years of marriage on April 30, 2005. Gednah is survived by daughter, Joanne Etherton, Bloomington; son, Phil Crosno, Salinas, Calif.; three grandchildren, Rhonda (Ken) Williams, Littleton, Colo.; Donna (James) Martin, Clinton; and Don Etherton, Bloomington; 10 great-grandchildren, Miel Sturdivant; Joli (Steve) Danison; Kier, Ciel and Gabe Masters; Brian, Sean and Kevin Williams; and Joe and Jacki Etherton; and eight great-great-grandchildren, Madison, Jonas and Morgan; Noah, Emma and Elijah; and Aidan and Ava. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother, Donald R. Ferguson; son-in-law, Donald D. Etherton; and daughter-in-law, Betty Crosno.
