Albert W.A. Hampton, 68, of Bonnie, Illinois passed away at 2:08 P.M. on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at his home in Bonnie, Illinois.  Albert was born on Friday, May 18, 1945 in Nashville, Illinois the son of the late Eugene Marshall Hampton and Lydia M. (Pruehsner) Hampton.  He married Brenda L. Beckham on October 17, 1969 in Jefferson County, Illinois.  Surviving family members include his wife: Brenda L. Hampton of Bonnie, Illinois; 2 sons: Casey Hampton and husband Jeffry Stanton of Chicago, Illinois and Jonathan Hampton and wife Wendy of Bonnie, Illinois; 2 daughters: Tonya Blackwell and husband Skylynn of Mt. Vernon, Illinois and Amanda Bigley and husband Ryan of Bonnie, Illinois; 2 grandsons: Colton Blackwell of Mt. Vernon, Illinois and Kayin Hampton of Bonnie, Illinois; brother: Wesley Hampton of Nashville, Illinois; 3 sisters: Betty Turner of Nashville, Illinois, Dinah Barnhart of Nashville, Illinois and Dolly McFeron and husband Thomas of Nashville, Illinois; several nieces and nephews also survive. His parents and two brothers: John and David Hampton preceded him in death.    Albert served in the U.S. Army from June 5, 1962 to June 4, 1968 and later worked at Continental Tire Company in Mt. Vernon, Illinois until retiring. He was a member, an Elder and Sunday School Teacher at Elk Prairie Christian Church. He loved singing, playing guitar, hunting, fishing and gardening.   FUNERAL SERVICE: will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. Mr. Randy Sells and Mr. Bill Degenhardt will officiate. VISITATION: will be held from 9:00 A.M. until service time 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. INTERMENT: South Hickory Hill Cemetery in McClellan Township, Jefferson County, Illinois. Members of Mt. Vernon American Legion Post #141 will conduct Full Military Honors at the cemetery.
