Robert Wesley “Bob” Ratliff, 72, of Mt. Vernon, Illinois passed away on September 13, 2013 in Ocala, Florida. Bob was born on July 2, 1941 in Mt. Vernon, Illinois the son of the late William Henry and Eloise Elona (Hofer) Ratliff.  Surviving family members include his daughter: Christy Baxter of Nampa, Idaho; ex-wife: Diana Hunter of Nampa, Idaho; 2 brothers: Jim Ratliff and wife Wanda of Mt. Vernon, Illinois and William Ratliff; 2 grandchildren also survive. His parents preceded him in death.    Bob served our country in the United States Marine Corps in 1959 and 1960. He worked as a self employed salesman. He loved to travel and managed to visit the entire United States through his travels. He enjoyed meeting and talking to people and was a very gifted story teller.   In honor of Bob's wishes he was cremated and no public services were held.
