Pat So glad to hear Catherine's home was not seriously damaged by the flooding. Sure good to know she can still to the hospital in Boulder if she needs to. I sure hate to think of all those people having to deal with the damage from the flooding. Videos sure show how bad it was. Hope the area has a chance to dry out before any more rain falls. I guess they won't have to worry about water restrictions this year with all the rains they've gotten thus far. I was in Boulder recently and just can't imagine this historic flooding. My cousin bought a home in Erie and I hear even some people in Erie were affected. I drove by my former home in Lafayette in southeast corner of Boulder County and chatted with my next door neighbor to catch up on the news of the neighborhood. I doubt my old neighborhood was really affected. I know my house sat up higher than the road and backyard sloped away. I remember Boulder Creek flooding occasionally in Boulder but nothing really serious like this must have been. Sometimes I miss living in Colorado but I just hated the cold winter months there. As some of you know, Catherine’s home is located in Boulder County, just off Highway 36, between the city of Boulder & the town of Lyons. Catherine is safe & so far has not had to evacuate. Her basement is flooded & there is no electricity but at this time the rain has stopped & the sun is out but more rain is predicted. > Some of you are aware that Catherine has been battling cancer for the past 4 years. Highway 36 is closed just north of Catherine’s home but the road is still open into the city of Boulder so in case of a medical emergency assistance can still reach Catherine & she can get into Boulder. > Thank you for your prayer’s & please continue to pray for all of the resident’s living in the midst of the devastated flood areas. > > Pat Corona > Visit the Jefferson County web site at: > www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~iljeffer/ > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to [email protected] with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
