Correction... ________________________________     William Earl “Bill” Rayfield, 73, of Mt. Vernon, Illinois passed away at 1:10 P.M. on Monday, September 23, 2013 at Nature Trail Health Care Center in Mt. Vernon, Illinois.  Bill was born on August 11, 1940 in St. Louis, Missouri the son of the late Earl S. and Mary S. (Hickman) Rayfield.  Surviving family members include his son: William Earl Rayfield, Jr. and wife Cecilia of Saint Peters, Missouri; 2 grandsons: Robert and Dylan Rayfield of Saint Peters, Missouri; sister-in-law: Patrician Rayfield of Carbondale, Illinois; several nieces and nephews also survive including special niece and caregivers: Sue Rayfield McBride and husband Larry (close friend to Bill) of Mt. Vernon, Illinois.
