Juanita Story, 91, of Mt. Vernon, Illinois passed away at 11:52 P.M. on Sunday, September 22, 2013 at Good Samaritan Regional Health Center in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. Juanita was born on Saturday, November 26, 1921 in Mt. Vernon, Indiana the daughter of the late Ernest and Alberta (Anderson) Hall.  She married William H. Story on January 12, 1978 and he preceded her in death on July 7, 1987. Surviving family members include her special Cardinals friend: O.E. Stimson of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; son: Paul Cross and wife Beverly of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; 3 daughters: Velma Gunn and husband Charles of Maumelle, Arkansas, Linda Goza Grothoff and husband Clarence of Mt. Vernon, Illinois and Marcia Vowell and husband Tom of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; brother: Arthur Hall and wife Brenda of Mt. Vernon, Indiana; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. Her parents, husband, two brothers: William “Bill” Hall and George “Bob” Hall and one sister: Imogene Allyn preceded her in death.    Juanita was a clerk at Lynn Ann Shop, she loved to dance, was a great pie baker and was a member of Logan Street Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon, Illinois.  GRAVESIDE SERVICES: will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens in Woodlawn, Illinois. Brian Fuller will officiate. There will be no visitation held. INTERMENT: Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens in Woodlawn, Illinois.
