Lucille Stefan, age 91 of Johnston City, Illinois passed away at 3:15 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, 2013 in Woodlawn. Lucille was born in Marion, IL on November 11, 1921 the daughter of James R. and Ethel (Ivy) Deaton. She married Anthony "Tony" Thomas Stefan and he preceded her in death on November 8, 1984. Mrs. Stefan was a member St. Paul's Catholic Church in Johnston City. She is survived by her three children, Tony Stefan and wife Sharon, Linda Stefan, and Mike Stefan and wife Melanie; five grandchildren Tresa, Scott, Keith, Jennifer and Ryan; and also eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; son, James Stefan; brother, Joe; sister, Dorothy and one infant daughter. Memorial Mass will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday July 23, 2013 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Johnston City, Illinois with Msgr. Ken Schaefer officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City. For those wishing, memorials may be made to the Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be accepted at the Funeral Home. Local arrangements are under direction of Pyle Funeral Home.
