    2. Tillie (Theophila) H. Czerwinski, 98, of Scheller, IL, passed away at 9:05 A.M., Friday, July 19, 2013 at the Countryside Manor in Mt. Vernon, IL. Tillie had been a homemaker. She was a member of the St. Barbara Catholic Church in Scheller and was the oldest parishioner, having been a member since October of 1935. She was a member of St. Barbara Sodality, Mt. Vernon Chapter #688 NARFE (National Association of Retired Federal Employees) and Du Bois Chapter #2327 AARP. She was an avid pinochle player and enjoyed gardening. She was born August 5, 1914 at Du Bois, IL, the daughter of Frank and Martha (Kujawski) Zmudzinski. She married Michael Czerwinski on October 14, 1935 at Du Bois, IL and he preceded her in death on February 22, 1982. She is survived by three children – Richard Czerwinski and wife Sylvia of Scheller, IL, Ralph Czerwinski and wife Debbie of Decatur, IL, and Bernadine Kabat and husband Clarence of  Waltonville, IL, five grandchildren – Lisa (Allen) Wisniewski, Jacqueline Gustafson, Therese (Garcia) Czerwinski (Rick), Tanya Burda (Bob), and Andy Tomaszewski (Bambi), eight great grandchildren – Caitlin Wisniewski, Kathryn and Samuel Gustafson, Alexander and Megan Garcia, Brittany Collier, Johnna and Colten Tomaszewski, one great great grandchild – Nicklaus Hartung. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters – Julia Kabat and husband Ted, Sophia Ratajczyk and husband Leonard, Salomae Hoffman and husband Eugene, brothers – Gus Zmudzinski and wife Amanda and Dominic Zmudzinski and wife Betty. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at the St. Barbara Catholic Church in Scheller with Fr. Dale Maxfield officiating. Friends may call from 5 to 8 P.M., Monday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa. Burial will be in the St. Barbara Cemetery at Scheller. Friends may make memorials to the St. Barbara Catholic Church or Masses and will be accepted at the funeral home.
