    3. FCI/JCI Researchers Need your help. Mary Z. submitted a probate record on Nancy Harris which got me digging into the children of Morgan Harris and Nancy (??) According to 1850 JCI census, Morgan and Nancy had a son named Samuel who was age 11 and born in Indiana (IA does not mean Iowa as we know it today) http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~iljeffer/census/image/1850/1850IL01100384a.gif There are no marriages in JCI for Samuel Harris but I did find one in FCI For Samuel and Elizabeth Sullivan and what looks like the first marriage for Elizabeth Goff to Abel Sullivan. Elizabeth would have been 20 when this 1st marriage took place and age 24 when the 2nd marriage took place. Mrs. HARRIS was often referred to as the "grand old woman" of her community, had reached the unusually old age of 95 years. She spent her entire life in the same locality and died within two and a half miles of her birthplace. Despite this fact, she had become known to scores of people as a woman of true exemplary characteristics and was admired and respected by all. Mrs. HARRIS' husband died 28 years ago and her only living relative is a son, Joe HARRIS, with whom she had made her home in recent years. She was the last member of her family, all brothers and sisters of a once prominent family having died several years ago. There are seven grandchildren, however. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at New Hope Church. Rev. J. R. McDUFFIE of Ewing will be in charge and interment will be made in the New Hope Cemetery. Source: Mt.
