    2. VIENNA - Joyce Elliston Faulkner, 75, formerly of Vienna, died at 11:20 p.m. Monday, July 22, 2013, in Union County Hospital in Anna. Joyce was born Oct. 3, 1937, in Mount Vernon. She was the daughter of Walter and Mildred (Phillips) Elliston. Joyce was united in marriage to Charles Faulkner on Nov. 13, 1975. He survives. Survivors include her daughters, Karen Stilley of Cobden, Bev (Dan) Gibbons of Cobden, Sharon Winn of Bettendorf, Iowa and Ann (Stephen) Wilson of Carbondale; her stepchildren, David (Karen) Faulkner of Vienna, Greg (Carolyn) Faulkner of Vienna, Terry (Tammy) Faulkner of Crab Orchard, Diane (Darren) Deskin of Lockport, Denise (Garry) Tanner of Tunnel Hill, Gayla (Tony) Sanders of Vienna and Kim (Gerald) Goines of Vienna; 25 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a brother, Louis (Mary) Elliston of McLeansboro; a sister, Kay (W.O.) Jones of Tupelo, Miss. and a sister-in-law, Pat Elliston of Mount Vernon. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Earl Ray Elliston and an infant brother, Phillip Neal Elliston. Joyce was a graduate of McLeansboro High School. Together, Joyce and Charles operated a concrete lawn ornament business at West Vienna. Joyce was also a talented floral designer. In their retirement, Joyce and Charles enjoyed "snow birding" in Okeechobee, Fla., where they were members of Oak View Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Joyce had a deep love of gospel music and was a talented pianist. In accordance with Joyce's wishes, there will be a musical tribute in celebration of her life at 11 a.m. Friday at Bailey Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Boyd Cemetery in Dix. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday at Bailey Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Shriner's Hospitals for Crippled Children in St. Louis or to the charity of the donor's choice .
