    2. PINCKNEYVILLE -- William H. "Bill" Webber Jr., 87, passed away at 9:43 p.m. Saturday, July 13, 2013, in Washington County Hospital in Nashville. Bill was born May 28, 1926, in Mount Vernon, a son to William H. and Bertha M. (Boyle) Webber Sr. He proudly served his country with the U.S. Navy Seabees during World War II. On April 24, 1950, he married Mildred "Millie" Kabat in Scheller, and she survives. Bill worked as a specialty advertising salesman for Goldman Associates for more than 30 years. In his lifetime, Bill was a member of St. Bruno Catholic Church in Pinckneyville, where he served on its parish council, the Lion's Club in Pinckneyville and Pinckneyville Chamber of Commerce, where he was very instrumental in the early days of the Pinckneyville Mardi Gras. He had also served on Pinckneyville Library Board, Pinckneyville Community Hospital Board and St. Bruno Catholic School Board, and he volunteered for Meals on Wheels. He was an avid golfer and loved his Canada fishing trips. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Millie Webber of Pinckneyville; three daughters, Donna Markotay (Rick Reese), Connie (Dr. Tim) Mathis and Barbara (Deon) Johnston, all of Pinckneyville; seven grandchildren, Lexie (Russell) King, Travis (Katie) Markotay, Sarah (Daniel) Valter, Mason Mathis, Holly (Josh) Heisner and Hillary and Haley Johnston; and five great-grandchildren, Anna Markotay, Sadie King, Max King, Sebestyeñ Valter and McKinley Heisner. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Gladys Shields. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 16, in St. Bruno Catholic Church in Pinckneyville with Father Augustine Ibezimako officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery with military graveside rites by Presswood-Daffron American Legion Post 2504 in Pinckneyville. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and 8 to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Pyatt Funeral Home in Pinckneyville. A prayer service will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
