This is the obit. for Cecil Grace (Coffman) Merrick the daughter of Isaac Granville Coffamn and Edith Gertrude Edwards. She married Daniel Brainard Merrick Bob The Pantagraph, Bloomington, IL, April 20, 1989 Grace C. Merrick, 86, of 1509 N. Calhoun St., formerly of 104 E. Wood St., both in Bloomington, died at 6:05 a.m. yesterday (April 19, 1989) at Brokaw Hospital, Normal. Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Beck Memorial Home, Bloomington, with her son, the Rev. Dan Merrick, officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Gardens, Bloomington. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the memorial home. Mrs. Merrick was born Nov. 28, 1902, in Ina, a daughter of Isaac Granville and Edith Gertrude Edwards Coffman. She married Daniel B. Merrick on Dec. 27, 1922, in Farmer City. He died Sept. 27, 1957. Survivors include two sons, Dan, Peoria, and Frank, Danvers; three brothers, Edwards A. Coffman, Rockford; Eldo M. Coffman, Riddle, Ore.; and Lorenzo Dow Coffman, Myrtle Creek, Ore.; a sister, Lois Ruth Kerns, North Hollywood, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Two brothers and a grandchild preceded her in death. Mrs. Merrick was a member of Second Christian Church of Bloomington, soloist and member of the church choir for many years, and volunteer and member of Home Sweet Home Mission Auxiliary. Memorials may be made to the church or Home Sweet Home Mission.
