Sandra D. Bowman, 67, of Mt. Vernon, Illinois passed away at 3:20 A.M. on Friday, July 19, 2013 at Community Hospital East in Indianapolis, Indiana.  Sandra was born on August 10, 1945 in Akron, Ohio the daughter of the late John William and Hazel Neoma (Wolgamott) Harden.  She married Robert L. Bowman on April 6, 2009 in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Surviving family members include her mother: Hazel Harden of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; husband: Robert L. “Bob” Bowman of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; 2 sons: Michael Barroclough and wife Lori of Pala Verdes Estates, California and David Barroclough and wife Diane of San Diego, California; 3 grandchildren: Sarah, Brenden and Eric Barroclough; sister: Peggy James and husband Jerry of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; 2 stepchildren: David Bowman of California City, California and Cathy Bowman of Santa Clarita Valley, California; several nieces and nephews also survive. Her father preceded her in death.    Sandra was a homemaker, an avid quilter and a member of Quilt Guild of Mitchell Museum.       Celebration of Life Service: will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, July 22, 2013 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. Reverend Jeff Fernberg will officiate. In honor of her wishes she was cremated and no visitation will be held.
