    2. Virginia "Jenny" Mae Jones, age 68 of Johnston City and a former resident of Nason, passed away at 10:55 p.m. Thursday, July 25, 2013 at Herrin Hospital. Jenny was born in Waltonville, IL on February 6, 1945 the daughter of Dire Jones Sr. and Anna (Bravard) Jones. She married Donald G. Hays and he preceded her in death in 1996. Virginia was a member of Park Avenue Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon and had also attended New Life Harvest. She worked as Home Health Nurses Aide for many years. She was a loving mother, a kind and gentle person who never meet a stranger and will be missed by many. She is survived by her two sons, Terry Don Hays of Johnston City, Illinois; and Brian Hays of Nason; two brothers, Dick Jones and wife Opal and Dire Jones Jr. and wife Sue both of Bonnie; sister, Florine Dees of Waltonville; two grandchildren, Zachary Levi Hays and Corissa Dawn Hayes; one great-granddaughter, Allison Clair Hays; special friends, Shirley Kelley and Lisa Kinison; and also several nieces nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Melvadene Hall; infant sister; three brothers, Walter Jones, Wayne Jones and Bill Jones. As per her wishes no public services will be held. For those wishing, memorials may be made to Park Avenue Baptist Food Pantry and will be accepted at the Funeral Home.
