Rose P. Hirons, 90, of Buffalo Grove, Illinois and formerly of Mt. Vernon, Illinois passed away at 8:45 P.M. on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, Illinois. Rose was born on Thursday, November 30, 1922 in Mt. Vernon, Illinois the daughter of the late Gilbert and Lucy (Usselton) Page. She married Malcolm Hirons on May 5, 1947 in Piggot, Arkansas and he preceded her in death on October 19, 2010. FUNERAL SERVICES: will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Sunday, July 14, 2013 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. Mt. J. Howard Kraps and Mr. Randy Sells will officiate. VISITATION: will be held from 5 to 8:00 P.M. Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. INTERMENT: Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens in Woodlawn, Illinois. For those who wish, memorials may be given to Central Christian Church and will be accepted at the funeral home or may be mailed to Hughey Funeral Home, P.O. Box 721, Mt. Vernon, Illinois 62864.
