Donna Corene Peacock, 75, of Mount Vernon, Illinois passed away at 6:20 A.M. on Sunday, July 14, 2013 at Green Tree Assisted Living in Mount Vernon, Illinois.  She was born on Monday, June 13, 1938 in Evansville, Indiana to Geoffrey “Bud” and Roberta Marie (Harvey) Cremeens.  She married William Henry “Bill” Peacock on May 27, 1955 in Orient, Illinois.  He preceded her in death on July 31, 2012. Donna is survived by her daughter:  Cathy Hartman of Saint Charles, Missouri, son:  Keith Peacock and wife Stephanie of Vincennes, Indiana, ten grandchildren:  Craig Hartman and wife Laura of O’Fallon, Missouri; Chad Hartman and wife Jill of Wentzville, Missouri; Dave Guyton of O’Fallon, Missouri; Kirsten Parr and husband Jason of Rhineland, Missouri; Cristen Woolston and husband Colin of Madison, Wisconsin; Cody Hartman of Saint Peters, Missouri; Travis Peacock and wife Dawn of Brownsburg, Indiana; Jacob Peacock and wife Jessica of Vincennes, Indiana; Nathan Peacock of Royal Center, Indiana; and Abigail Peacock of Vincennes, Indiana, fifteen great grandchildren, two brothers:  Dwight Cremeens and wife Connie of West Frankfort, Illinois and Ron Cremeens and wife Linda of West Frankfort, Illinois, brother-in-law:  Gary Peacock and wife Linda of Trout Valley, Illinois and several nieces. Her parents, husband, one infant daughter:  Loralee, and one brother:  Ross Cremeens preceded her in death.   Donna worked in accounting at several different firms; most recently at Costa Law Firm. At ten years of age she accepted Jesus as her personal Lord and Savior at a Salvation Army Bible School in West Frankfort, Illinois. She was a member of Park Avenue Baptist Church in Mount Vernon, Illinois where she was very active. She was also involved in the Mount Vernon BPW, the Parkinson’s Action Network, Senior Circle, WOM, and organized the Parkinson Support Group in Mount Vernon. She loved photography. TIME/DATE/PLACE OF SERVICE: Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois with Reverend Gary Devenport and Pastor Ron Cremeens officiating. INTERMENT: will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Mount Vernon, Illinois VISITATION: will be from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois For those who wish, memorials may be given to the Park Avenue Baptist Church and will be accepted at the funeral home or mailed to Hughey Funeral Home, P.O. Box 721, Mount Vernon, Illinois 62864.
