    2. Norma Elaine Crider, age 80 of Mt. Vernon, went to be with her Lord at 10:06 p.m. Friday, October, 11 2013 at her home surrounded by her family. Norma was born in Woodlawn, IL on July 13, 1933 the daughter of Roscoe and Thelma (Beaver) Troutt. She had one brother Gene Troutt. She married Robert Crider and he survives in Mt. Vernon. From this union they brought four children, into the Lord: Terry, Susan, Amanda and Rachel. Norma was a homemaker and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Woodlawn. She was a wonderful cook, teacher and spiritual leader of her home. She led her children to know her Lord and Savior. She was always a prayer warrior for her family, grandchildren and anyone she heard of that needed prayer. She lived a quiet life but prayed for family and friends and neighbors fervently without ceasing behind the scenes. She was an avid reader and loved her pet cats. She is survived by her children Terry Crider, Susan Crider and Amanda Crider all of Mt. Vernon and Rachel Austin and husband Bryan of Texico, IL; and also two grandchildren, Levi Austin, and Lily Austin. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Gene Troutt. Funeral services for Norma Crider will be held at 11 Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at First Baptist Church in Woodlawn with Rev. Merle Fullerton and her son-in-law Rev. Bryan Austin officiating. The Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until service time at the Church. Burial will follow at Old Union Cemetery in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. For those wishing, memorials may be made to the Old Union Cemetery and will be accepted at the Funeral Home.
