Harold Everett Minor, 78, of Keenes, Illinois passed away at 11:30 A.M. on Sunday, October 13, 2013 at White Oak Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. Harold was born on Sunday, March 3, 1935 in Wayne County, Illinois the son of the late Bert and Ruth (Wilson) Minor.  He married Wilma Chambliss on April 29, 1955 in Jefferson County, Illinois. Surviving family members include her wife: Wilma Minor of Keenes, Illinois; 2 daughters: Debbie Minor of New London, Missouri and Vicki Barker and husband Ron of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; son: David Minor and wife Debbie of Henderson, Kentucky; 6 grandchildren: Jill LaRue, Zachary Lewis, Jason Back, Stacy Bell and husband Bob, Adam Minor and wife Rachel and Ryan Minor; sister: Velma Williams and husband Vergil of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; 2 step grandsons: Wesley Nasbitt and Jared Barker; 9 great grandchildren: Ethan LaRue, Kelton, Alexei and Aidan Back, Katelyn and Gavin Bell, Ava and Liam Minor and C.J. Nasbitt and another great grandchild expected in March. His parents preceded him in death.    He lived on the family farm in Wayne County all of his life. Besides the love of farming Harold also enjoyed camping, gardening and crafts.  GRAVESIDE SERVICES: will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at Garrison Temple Cemetery in Wayne County, Illinois. Reverend Bud Storey will officiate. In honor of his wishes, there will be no visitation. Those wishing to attend the service are to go directly to the cemetery. INTERMENT: Garrison Temple Cemetery in Wayne County, Illinois.
