Maxine Wolfe, 87, of Mount Vernon, Illinois passed away at 10:57 A.M. on Friday, October 4, 2013 at Mount Vernon Countryside Manor in Mount Vernon, Illinois.  She was born on Thursday, August 12, 1926 in Wayne County, Illinois to parents, Allen Levi and Frances Belle (Fleeharty) Morris.  She married George Washington Wolfe on November 19, 1967 in Flora, Illinois.  He preceded her in death on February 10, 1985. Maxine is survived by two sons:  Nash Harrison New and wife Betty of Naples, Florida and Neil Allen New and wife Carrie of Springfield, Illinois, daughter:  Bonnie Dismang and husband Rob of Mount Vernon, Illinois, two stepchildren:  Jerry Bruce and wife Betty of Kansas City, Missouri and Harlene Miller and husband Charles of Kansas City, Missouri, seven grandchildren:  Abbey Philpot and husband Joshua, Sarah Wilson and husband Aaron, Anna Dismang, Jacob Dismang, Whitney Dunkel, Jaclyn New, and Samantha New, five step grandchildren:  Lori Martin and husband Curtis, David Miller and wife Tani, Cindy Bargas and husband John, Cheryl Constance and husband Steve, and Cathy Lysinger and husband Jim, five great grandchildren, ten step great grandchildren, and sister-in-law: Della Morris of Fairfield, Illinois Her parents, husband, grandson: Jeremy New, and two brothers: Glen Morris and Delbert Morris preceded her in death.          Maxine worked as a sales clerk at a Mammoth Department Store and later as a Central Supply sterilizing and stocking medical equipment at St. Mary Hospital in Centralia, Illinois. She enjoyed quilting, embroidery, the ocean, and horses. She was a member of Community of Christ Church – formerly known as Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints – where she was well known for sending church bulletins away to members in college and overseas in the Armed Forces. Every year she helped cook and serve meals to kids at youth summer camps. She enjoyed weekly movie nights with her friends and will always be remembered for sending Hallmark cards to her loved ones for every occasion. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, October 7, 2013 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois with Elder Dale Warren officiating. INTERMENT: Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, October 7, 2013 at Lappin Cemetery in Wayne County, Illinois VISITATION: will be from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Sunday, October 6, 2013 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois For those who wish, memorials may be given to the Brush Creek Campground and will be accepted at the funeral home or mailed to Hughey Funeral Home, P.O.
