Vernon Register-News October 1, 2013 Dan Thierry The Register-News Dan Thierry, 67, of Belle Rive, died 7:09 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013, at Good Samaritan Regional Health Center in Mt. Vernon. He was born Aug. 28, 1946, the son of Charles E. and Marion Jane (Pannier) Thierry. He married Karen Jo Underwood May 5, 1984; she survives in Belle Rive. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his father, Charles E. Thierry of Belle Rive; two daughters, Leslie Thierry and Jenny Thierry, both of Belle Rive; his brothers and sisters, Charles P. Thierry of Dahlgren, Christine Johnson of Ina, Joy (Richard) Hodge of Dahlgren, Elizabeth (Steve) Adamsof Bonnie, Clare (Danny) Anselment of Dahlgren and Karla (Bobby) Smith of Clinton. He was preceded in death by his mother and a brother, Robert Thierry. Dan was a retired farmer. He was a Christian by faith and a member of Hamilton County Farm Bureau. Graveside funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Dahlgren IOOF Cemetery with the Rev. Gary Whipple officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Gholson Funeral Home in Dahlgren. Memorials may be given to the Dahlgren IOOF Cemetery Fund and will be accepted at Gholson Funeral Home.
