    3. Note her father's name was William Bryan Reece, son of Oscar A. Reece and Hellena Butler. Her brother Merrill Allan Reece's obit was in Aug 2006 Register-News. Vernon, passed away at 3:55 a.m. Wednesday, October 30, 2013, at Mt. Vernon Countryside Manor. Eileen was born in Mt. Vernon, IL on February 19, 1922 the daughter of Bryan and Ruth Jane (Williams) Reece. She married Angelo Andrew DeVivo on November 21, 1943 in Morganfield, Kentucky and he preceded her in death on November 26, 2002. Eileen was a service representative, telephone operator, and supervisor for Illinois Bell where she worked for thirty four years. She was a past member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, Toast Mistress Club and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Eileen was an active member of Park Avenue Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon. She is survived by her children, Mark A. DeVivo and wife Carolyn of Decatur, IL and Gloria DeVivo of Mt. Vernon; sister, Shirley A. Kelley of Mt. Vernon; brother, Eugene "Jeep" Reece of Decatur; two grandchildren, Ladonna Welch and husband Scott of NC and Lindsay DeVivo of St. Louis, MO; three great grandchildren, Bethany, Anthony and Brianna Welch, and daughter-in-law, Judy DeVivo Montgomery of NC. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Angelo Andrew DeVivo; son, Michael Andrew DeVivo; sister, Mary Evelyn Staley; brother Allan Reece. Funeral services for Eileen DeVivo will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 4, 2013, at Newell Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon with Pastor Gary Davenport officiating. Interment will follow at East Hickory Hill Cemetery in rural Bluford. Visitation will be held on Monday from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. For those wishing, memorials may be made to the Park Avenue Baptist Church and will be accepted at the Funeral Home.
